In my English class we are required to write a prayer journal every day we meet. I have since discovered it has helped me with focus on my prayer. It has also been very eye opening in prayers that God does answer. This is one that I found today and even though it's a few months later I suppose I'm still praying it to this day.
It's 1:30 a.m. I am just coming out of Addie's room where I fell asleep again. I'm exhausted. This was my sixth day of work in a row, plus school. All I can think of is You. Every breath whispers "it is going to be worth it all" and I'm reminded I was made for more than this.
God, please use my story to help others. Please give me the strength to live my life in a way pleasing to you. The strength to not fall back on the same sins over and over. The confidence in knowing you are my God, my protector, my safe place.
Let me choose you instead of searching for love in other places. I need you God. I need you to need me God because right now I feel like I'm doing all of this for nothing.
